The idea for the BugaBees came from one motherâ€™s need to educate her young daughter about food allergies. Inspired by the millions of other families also seeking ways to learn and cope with this condition, BugaBee characters were created to help children remain healthy and happy in spite of a food allergy diagnosis.
About the Author
Amy Recob is the creator and author of The BugaBees. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Journalism, Amy is also an active member of many civic and non-profit service organizations in her community. She remains a dedicated advocate for the awareness and prevention of food allergies in children, and are proud supporter of the many research initiatives that currently share the same mission. She currenty serves on the Advisory Board for Kids with Food Allergies Foundation.
